Joy Ferguson named Relocation Director

Keller Williams Realty of Northern Colorado is pleased to announce Joy Ferguson as the company’s new Relocation Director. “We knew we wanted Joy to head our Relocation Department the minute she walked in the door. Her dedication to a high level of professionalism and expertise in the field are self-evident. Prior to joining Keller Williams, Joy served as Relocation Coordinator and then Relocation Director at john greene, Realtor in Naperville, IL. How do you feel about taking over as Relocation Director for Keller Williams Realty of Northern Colorado? Beyond excited! Keller Williams has national recognition and a tremendous local presence. It is a company which has embraced technology and still maintained its core values. Understanding the importance of valuable relationships and having a highly trained team of real estate agents is key to the current and future real estate markets.

What attracted you to relocation over ten years ago? I was intrigued by the significant number of people moving because of their careers, and what this entailed. These tended to be employees with a specific skill set, e.g. technical, managerial, etc. It is vital to understand the additional layer of stress involved – often it means families having to sell their homes in one part of the country and move to another in a very short “turnaround” period.

What does Northern Colorado have to offer Corporate Relocation? Northern Colorado has private sector research facilities, world class universities, and a highly skilled labor force. There is a strong statewide commitment to making Colorado attractive to many industries. Of course the 300+ days of sunshine helps too!

Greeley KW Gearing Up for RED Day 2011

The Greeley Keller Williams office is gearing up for RED Day 2011 being held on May 12. On this day Keller Williams of Northern Colorado will be participating in the 3rd annual Keller Williams Realty R.E.D. (Renew, Energize and Donate) Day. All of our associates in the US and Canada will donate one day to projects related to renewing and energizing our local communities. Our office and its associates will be participating on this day by hosting a School Supply Drive for Milliken Middle School as well as launching two initiatives for Bella Romero Elementary.

Sharon Taylor installed as 2010-11 President of Greeley Area Realtor Association

Taylor_Team_1191444716226“Don’t stop believing” was Sharon Taylor’s message to Greeley area Realtors® when she was recently installed as the 2010-11 President of the Greeley Area Realtor® Association (GARA). Taylor urged local Realtors® to believe in today’s real estate market. With unprecedented low interest rates homes are more affordable now than they were in 1979. She reminded Realtors® that it is more important than ever to believe in themselves and to “work hard at what you believe in…in fact, in this economy you have to work a bit harder.”

Taylor currently serves as the Assistant Team Leader of Keller Williams Realty of Northern Colorado’s Greeley office. She has been in the real estate industry and affiliated with GARA for the past 32 years, her experience culminating in her role as the 2010-11 President. Keller Williams Realty selected “The Taylor Team” as the 2000 #1 Real Estate Team in the state of Colorado and, in the years following, the team has achieved silver, gold and double gold award status. Taylor is also a past recipient of the Distinguished Service Award, an award presented to one Realtor each year for outstanding service to the community and fellow Realtors®.

One of the headline projects Taylor will be working on during her Presidency is the creation of a Realtor Alumni Association for retiring Realtors® and associates. J.D. Power & Associates: Keller Williams #1 in Buyer Satistfaction

Power and Associates 2010 Home Buyer/Seller StudySM, Keller Williams Realty, Inc., the third largest real estate company in the United States, has received the highest overall satisfaction ratings from home buyers among the largest full-service real estate firms for the third year in a row. The company also ranked second among home sellers in the study for the second year in a row.

JoAnn Johnston, Operating Principal of Keller Williams Realty of Northern Colorado, said “We are proud of our real estate agents and the manner in which they care for all of our clients. It is their hard work and caring that keeps us at the top!”

The study was produced by J.D. Power and Associates to measure home buyers and sellers customer satisfaction. The results of the home-buying experience were determined by three factors including the buyer’s experience with their agent, the real estate office and a variety of additional services. Keller Williams Realty performed particularly well in the agent and office factors. And, overall satisfaction of buyers for the industry was up over last year.

Additionally, the study noted that the importance of real estate agents has increased substantially in the past year, with buyers and sellers relying on the negotiating skills of their chosen agent and help in navigating the market.

“It is thrilling to see our firm, once again, get public recognition for its incredible focus on customer satisfaction from such a prestigious group. Greeley RED Day volunteers wash windows and visit Kenton Manor

REDDay_GRLY_GroupGreeley Keller Williams Realty agents joined colleagues from across the US and Canada in a day of community service for the company’s 2nd annual RED Day held on May 13th. RED (Renew, Energize and Donate) Day is an annual service day initiative organized by Keller Williams Realty international. It is a day for agents to step away from the office and work as a team to improve the community.

Keller Williams’ agents from the Greeley office tackled two separate projects for RED Day. They kicked the day off by completing home improvement projects for a local Greeley resident that could not complete the work otherwise. Heavy lifting ensued as windows were removed and thoroughly washed. After that the group surprised residents at Kenton Manor nursing home with carnations and took time to visit them. “It is always rewarding to give back. It actually does more to lift our spirits than it does for those we are giving to. It is so true that it is better to give than to receive!,” said LaRue Hauf, agent at the Greeley Keller Williams Realty office.

At the end of the day, over 50 agents from Keller Williams Realty of Northern Colorado participated in RED Day projects. Fort Collins agents partnered with Putnam Elementary to read with students, collaborate on art projects and decorate for the school’s Fiesta de Mayo event. Agents from Loveland packaged items for H.E.L.P. International and hung drywall for Loveland Habitat for Humanity. “RED Day is a special day for our agents and our community as a whole. Great things are going on in Greeley and we are glad to be a part of it,” concluded Sharon Taylor, Team Leader of the Greeley Keller Williams Realty office.

Interesting Video: Roller coaster simulation plots US home prices over time

We watched an interesting You Tube video yesterday in one of our Keller Williams tech classes – “Advanced Social Networking” taught by Mariana Wagner. The video plots the change in US Home Prices (adjusted for inflation) from 1890 to Present. Keller Williams Realty Ranked as Top Real Estate Franchise by Industry Leader and Entrepreneur Magazine

AUSTIN, TEXAS (December 21, 2009) — Keller Williams Realty joined the ranks of the top franchises in the world last week, when the company was ranked as the No. 1 real estate franchise on the 31st Annual Franchise 500 list by Entrepreneur magazine. During the same week, the company was also voted the Most Recognizable Brand of Real Estate Franchises for 2009 in an industry-wide survey for the Swanepoel TRENDS Report.
 
 “The Swanepoel TRENDS Report is a respected source for the real estate industry and beyond, as is Entrepreneur magazine, and we are excited to see our agents honored in this way for all of their hard work,” said Mark Willis, CEO, Keller Williams Realty. “We certainly wouldn’t have been included on either list without the dedication and resolve of our agents.”  
 
According to the ranking in Entrepreneur magazine, the most important criteria to determine the top franchises included financial strength and stability, as well as growth rate and size of the franchise system. The magazine also looked at the number of years the company has been in business and the length of time it’s been franchising, in addition to start-up costs and financial data. Additionally, Keller Williams Realty made an impressive showing on the overall list, placing higher than any other real estate franchise.
 
The Swanepoel TRENDS Report is published by Stefan Swanepoel, a real estate industry speaker and insider. The survey was crafted to determine the Most Recognizable Brand for Real Estate Franchises for his report out in February 2010. The survey included votes cast by 11,000 plus real estate agents, who cast 390,000 votes to select the top 10.
 
Earlier in the year,Keller Williams Realty also received the highest overall satisfaction ratings from home buyers among the largest full-service real estate firms from J.D. Power and Associates for the second year in a row.
