First-time home buyers, prioritize your values, wants and needs
January 5th, 2012
The new year is kicking off with historically low mortgage rates and relatively low home values, putting housing affordability at an all-time high. If you are a first-time home buyer, it is important to begin your home search process by carefully assessing your values, wants, and needs—both for the short and long term. A recent study shows how important the following home-buying factors were to buyers:
- List Price: 72%
- Location: 69%
- Neighborhood: 55%
- Floor Plan: 37%
- Square Footage: 28%
- Schools: 22%
By having home-buying criteria in mind before walking into a consultation, buyers are off to a better start when meeting with their real estate agent. The consultation allows buyers to fill in any missing gaps within their values, wants, and needs. Click here to setup a consultation with one of our professional Greeley CO Real Estate Agents.
